Welcome to Our Aila Adventure. I’m Anne Stambaugh, and this blog is my way of sharing the journey of raising our incredible daughter, Aila, whose name means “The Champion from the Strong Place.” Aila’s life is a story of resilience, love, and advocacy. She lives with Aicardi syndrome, a rare and complex condition, and her journey has taught us the beauty of strength in the face of challenges.

Through these pages, I’ll share updates on her daily triumphs and milestones, delve into the history of our life with her, and shine a light on the medical and political issues that profoundly affect our family.
